For over a decade, I travelled across Ukraine searching for something most people pass without a second glance: bus stops. From more than a thousand documented structures, I selected around two hundred — the ones that held the most to say about time, place, and the people who built them.
These roadside shelters occupy a strange space between the functional and the fantastical. Alongside plain concrete pavilions stand singular architectural forms shaped by local character, climate, and individual hands. Each stop is a small monument — to transit, to waiting, and to the quiet persistence of everyday life.
